The HexH2O Pro v3 works seamlessly with the DJI GO app, allowing many powerful features including live viewing of the high definition video feed, battery status, redundancy status, signal strength and more.


With real-time HD downlink you can see exactly what the camera sees, making it much easier when framing a shot, whilst full manual camera controls let you shoot as if you were holding a camera in your hands. Complete control of everything from shutter speed to aperture to ISO and much more.


Create professional aerials effortlessly with advanced Intelligent Flight Modes. Capture shots that would once have required practice and training with just a few taps of your finger.


Auto take-off and land the HexH2O Pro with just a swipe of the finger on your iPad. Track the HexH2O Pro’s position and heading with a glance at a map. DJI Lightbridge 2 breaks technical limits to allow you to travel further and see more clearly. The integrated controller and intelligent algorithms set a new standard for wireless HD* image transmission by lowering latency and increasing maximum range and reliability.


With a new, powerful hardware encoder and advanced algorithms, total latency has been significantly reduced to as low as 50ms. So fly FPV, see what your camera sees, and capture footage as never before.


Lightbridge 2 wirelessly transmits HD* video at a range of up to 2.1 miles (3.5 km). All this to ensure that you will be able to explore distant locations and capture any perspective, always receiving a crystal clear image of your camera’s sight.


Output full HD* video to almost any type of display – mobile phones and tablets, desktop displays and TVs can all receive livevideo output. You can even output video to several devices simultaneously through a combination of ports, either USB and 3G-SDI , or USB and mini-HDMI.

N3 Flight Controller

The N3 flight controller is DJI’s latest generation of NAZA series flight controllers. Its robust flight control algorithm is ideal for the HexH2O Pro v3, providing professional stability and reliability.


Dual IMU redundancy means that the N3’s robust flight control algorithm detects IMU failure during flight, automatically switching over to a backup unit while maintaining flight control and safety at all times.,The N3’s outstanding vibration dampening system provides better flight performance and reliability. A built-in 8GB Industry Black Box automatically records every detail of the aircraft’s flight, enabling you to monitor flight data and fine-tune the aircraft in real-time. With DJI’s Assistant 2 data viewer, flight performance analysis have never been easier.

DJI X3 Camera/Gimbal

All of DJI s core technologies have been engineered into the Zenmuse X3 gimbal, keeping the camera steady in the sky and ensuring you get stable, professional footage every time. The 3-axis gimbal constantly draws on data fed by the intelligent flight controller, so it knows the aircraft’s flight parameters and computes the proper motion correction every millisecond. Angular velocity, momentum, inertial force and even GPS data allows the gimbal to apply countering power and force, keeping the camera perfectly level no matter how you fly.

Such precision is only possible because of the ultra-fast, custom-made processor that is unique to DJI gimbals. Operating at speeds that allow the gimbal to compensate for motion and tilt in real-time, this processor controls motors on all three axes: yaw, tilt, and roll. Brushless motors that run the gimbal are built for higher precision and a longer life, all while handling the stress of flight. They operate at a high control speed of 120°/s for tilt and 180°/s for rotation. You can also control where the camera is pointing with over 360° of rotation and -90° to +30° of tilt, all within ±0.03° of accuracy.

Ground Station Pro

GS Pro (also known as Ground Station Pro) is a FREE iPad app form DJI, that can be used to control or plan automatic flights for the HexH2O Pro v3.

Through its clear, concise interface, complex flight missions can be planned with a few taps. GS Pro will then automatically take pictures at pre-set waypoints, providing the accuracy required for precision mapping. A Virtual Fence feature increases safety and, ease of use by locking the aircraft’s height and speed within a designated area. With these features, GS Pro dramatically increases the efficiency of various industrial applications including but not limited to, aerial imaging, architecture, precision agriculture, electrical inspections, search and rescue, safety control, and more.

Frequently asked questions

Is the HexH2o Pro v3 waterproof?

The HexH2O Pro is designed and developed to be a sealed, water tight unit, with exception of the two breather tubes (which allow the barometer within the flight controller to measure outside air pressure, and are designed to let air in/out (but not water).

The only other exposed components are the brushless motors. These can run when wet (and even underwater), however we recommend you rinse them with fresh water after exposure to salt water to prolong the motors bearings.

What is It made out of?

The body is made of Epoxy fibre composite which makes it very strong, lightweight and rigid.

The viewing dome is perspex whilst the rear hatch and various internal parts are 3D printed.

It's a sealed unit... Doesn't it overheat?

We have tested the HEXH2O PRO V3 in ambient temperatures of 38 degrees. The external heat sinks on the ESC's and internal fans keep components at a constant temperature.

What flight times can I expect?

The HEXH2O PRO V3 has a max flight time of 30minutes, expect average flight times of 25-28 minutes.

What size battery can it take?

The HEXH2O PRO V3 has a large battery compartment with inside dimensions of L180mm x W130mm x H100mm, aperture: 120mm x 90mm.

We recommend running 2 x 8000mAh lipo’s (longer flight times may be possible with higher capacity batteries).

How big is the HexH2O Pro v3?

The overall size of the HEXH2O PRO V3 is L650mm x W740mm x H240mm (unfolded).

The body size is L400mm x W380mm x H150mm.

Transport (box) size (when folded) would need to be W750mm x L380mm x H240mm (internal dimensions). We recommend and can supply the Peli 1730 case.

What does the HexH2O Pro v3 weigh?

The HEXH2O PRO V3 body (no electrics or batteries) weighs around 1.4kg.

When fully loaded with 2 x 8000mAh Lipos, it weighs approx. 5KG.

Do I need to get anything else when building the HexH2O Pro v3?

Yes you can. The HEXH2O PRO V3 can fly in rain and snow.

Can I land on water?

Yes you can. You can also view below the waterline (film underwater) whilst on the water surface.

Can the camera/gimbal look straight down?

Yes it can view straight down without obstruction (when the drone is hovering)

Can I take photos and record video remotely?

Yes, you can control the camera, take photos, start/stop video, change camera settings and even play back video and review your photos via the DJI GO app whilst in flight.

Does it have 'follow me' mode?

No, none of our drones feature 'follow me' mode.
